Integral Yoga
A gentle, complete practice that integrates body, breath, and spirit.
About Integral Yoga
Integral Yoga is a gentle, whole-system approach blending postures with pranayama, deep relaxation, meditation, and often chanting, aiming to integrate yoga into daily life and ethics. It is community-centred and teaches yoga as a path toward peace — within the individual and in the world.

History & Origins
Sri Swami Satchidananda founded the Integral Yoga Institute of New York in 1966. He became globally recognised after opening Woodstock in 1969 with a peace invocation. Integral Yoga institutes now exist across multiple continents and the tradition's headquarters at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville in Virginia anchors retreats and training.
